Some students at Glen Oaks completed a new social studies curriculum. On March 8, 2024, they showcased a "Making Communities Better" lesson. The students studied Clara Barton, Cesar Chavez, Billy Frank, Judy Heumann, Ruby Bridges, and Lois Marie Gibbs as examples of good citizens who made their communities better. Students also studied the geographical locations in the United States where these people lived and made a difference. Mrs. Daoud and Mrs. Betts joined us in our presentation this morning to experience our "Living Monuments". The students were extremely proud to share their learning experiences!
