Wow! What a busy end of the school year with so many fun activities at Glen Oaks! First up the students enjoyed a field trip to Oak Ridge to watch the play that was put on by some of the 4th and 5th graders at Glen Oaks and Oak Ridge. This year’s play was Lion King. The students all did a wonderful job with the play! Thank you to the teachers and staff that helped to organize the play!
The students who completed their 40 book challenge enjoyed some time playing games like balloon toss, a sponge/bucket race, hula hoop contest, and tug o war. The students really seemed to enjoy themselves and some of the teachers jumped in on the fun as well! Congrats to all the students who completed the 40 book challenge this year!
One of the students favorite days of the year also happens at the end of the school year, PAWLOOZA!! It is a day that the students get to spend half the day traveling to different stations outside and inside the school. This year’s stations included 3 bounce houses, a karaoke station, yard games, musical dots, and rock, paper, scissors race. The students enjoy this day and all the fun stations. Thank you to the PTA for providing the bounce houses for the students and for all the parents that volunteered to help make the day possible! The students looked forward to it every year!
The students were treated to snow cones another day. Thank you to the PTO for this Special Treat!
Last but not least, the 2nd-4th graders did a clap out for the 5th graders as they enjoyed one final walk through the halls of Glen Oaks. Good luck at Conrady to all the 5th graders!
